Letter from our Founder

   I was blessed as a child with relatives that loved firearms and hunting. At the age of 7 or 8 I can remember traveling to all the northern Indiana and lower Michigan Gun Shops with my Grandpa. We would visit in these stores and I remember thinking how awesome it was. The owners of those shops treated me so nice and would almost always have candy or a Popsicle or something small for me. It was one of the lasting and most heart felt memories as a child. Memories of places such as Norms, Lingle's, Lake of the Woods, Terry’s Place, Strange's, Lunker's, and Anderson's just to name a few of the shops that have influenced our look and decor of our shop. 

   I knew by my teenage years that I would someday own a gun shop and in fact myself and a friend in school (I think around 8th grade) had to do a business plan and “run” a business on paper for a semester. It was the B & E Gun Shop and was one of the only things I ever got an A+ on. 

   My plan along was to some day retire and start a small little gun shop next to the house and have a small collection with limited hours. Well, the Lord had bigger plans for my vision. In 2015 the stars aligned and 

with a big leap of faith, Two Bear Arms became reality. It took  a lot of hard work, planning and help from so many friends and family. I have been blessed with dozens of incredible people in my life and the weeks prior to opening, so many of them were here, painting, building, welding, installing things, just anything they could help with, they did. It was an amazing time and Two Bear Arms Gun Shop and Range opened it’s doors in August of 2016!

  With an amazing crew of employees we have. They love people and guns, and the mission of providing old school values of friendly service, great selection, fair prices and fun every day! We love our customers and what we do every day! Each day we have more and more first-time visitors and the growth in just these few short years led us to our next expansion. In March of 2020 we are starting the new addition to our shop and with faith we grew yet again. When the pandemic hit the world, we strived and had to dig deep to supply the insatiable demand for all things related to personal safety.  With extensive and excellent vendor relationships we had built, we were blessed to always have stock and were able to keep our customers geared up.

   As 2022 started shifting things back to normal for the industry as a whole, we were now a fire tested crew from the pandemic and could merge back into what we knew as normal and use the skills of bulk buying and mass customer service learned in 2020, 2021 to offer even a higher level of service and products.

2023 is leading us, as we go, and we love the direction we are headed! It is all thanks to you, our wonderful, loyal customers!

  I wish to thank you if you are a current customer with us. Please know that your support of our small family business is not taken lightly. We promise to you that we will always strive to bring you our very best service, product selection, at absolutely fair prices. 

   If you are not a customer yet and are reading this to decide to visit us or not, rest assured that you will find a clean building, with a kind staff with a passion for what we do, a selection of used and new firearms that we are adding to weekly. We will always strive to build the maxim inventory we can (currently several hundred guns). We hope that when you get here, you instantly feel appreciated, and are treated with an old fashion style of service that many people are to young to remember. 

We look fondly at our past years and we look with great hope to the future and we hope to be “not just the place” to buy a firearm, but a destination back in time a little bit, when service mattered, having fun and a simple smile can prove that.
